Gravity casting represents one of the oldest casting methods. In simple terms, gravity casting is pouring molten metal directly into a permanent or semi-permanent mould.
The first step is heating up the mould after the mould has been sprayed with a release agent spray. The use of the spray is to make sure the metal can be easily detached from the mould after cooling down.
Then the next step is pouring molten metal into the desired mould through a sprue. In the old times, the pouring process is normally operated manually which pose great danger to operation workers and low efficiency.
After the part is cooled down, the last step is to remove the mould and take out the product.
Please notes: The products we are displaying are strictly for demonstrating manufacturing capacity. All the designs belong to our customers that we cannot sell the products to others.
Aluminium alloy is widely used in the lightweighting of automobiles due to the increasing need to lower car emissions and reduce vehicle weight to improve performance.
1. Lightweight design reduces the vehicle's weight, which can improve fuel economy and manoeuvrability.
2. Reduce the frequency of maintenance. The heavier a car is, the more strain it puts on the car's tyres and braking system, which can shorten the life of these parts. When a car is lighter, these conditions are greatly reduced.
3. By making the car lighter, acceleration can be improved and, because it is lighter and has less inertia, braking distances will be reduced in the event of a collision.
